Packer Shoes x ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer “All Roads Lead to Teaneck”
Preparations are well underway as Packer Shoes celebrates the 10th anniversary of its current store location at Teaneck, NJ. To start off the year-long celebration on the right note, proprietor Mike Packer partnered with ASICS to create their first collaborative design. Dubbed “All Roads Lead to Teaneck” and based on the original 1993 ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer, the special edition highlights the various highways and routes, including Interstate 95 and State Highway Route 4, that intersect at Teaneck. For a bit of realism, ASICS added dark grey speckles onto the charcoal pigskin suede to denote the asphalt-paved roads. A Neoprene ankle collar and reflective 3M accents in streaks of yellow-orange resemble the double yellow lines while the green overlay plays of the part of the Interact sign. Finally, a touch of red refers to the various traffic signals and brake lights.
Set to launch this weekend, the Packer Shoes x ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer “All Roads Lead to Teaneck” will available exclusively at Packer Shoes’ storefront and online store Noon 12 PM EST this Friday, January 31.
Asics gel Kayano 12 vs 13?
Ok, so I'm looking to get into shape, and decided to buy a good pair of running shoe. I'd come down to Asics Gel Kayano 12 and Asics Gel Kayano 13. Now, 13 is $99 compared to 12, which is $79. Which shoe should I get? Is it worth dishing out $20 more
There's probably no difference except for the color or trim. Each year Asics bumps up the number. The 12's cost $120+ when they first came out so go for them as long as they fit your feet and feel good. Otherwise, take a look at the Asics 21xx series.
