“I think we are about where I thought we would be or even a little ahead,” said Bastock, who headed the Southview program for four years. “Everyone worked hard from Day One and we went through some learning curves with each other. But, there’s no doubt that we are a team and that our brightest days are ahead of us.”
Bastock said the toughest aspect of blending the two schools into one team was overcoming each other’s doubts about the other. The players had to believe in the coaches, the coaches had to believe in the players and the players had to believe in each other.
“Really, it was all about repetition,” said Bastock. “As coaches, we had to come in with a message and stick with it. The players that didn’t know us saw that we stayed true to that message at every practice and in the classroom.
“After awhile, that bond of trust developed and the team bonded on and off the court.”
Senior point guard Moosha Nelson attended Admiral King last season and said the adjustment was a little difficult in the beginning from a playbook standpoint but there are no problems now.

(CNN) -- The Penn State players scooped up their defensive coordinator and hoisted him on their shoulders. It was his final game, a crowning victory in the Alamo Bowl, a perfect ending for the coach's 32-year career.
One player said it seemed like "a Hollywood script."
It was December 1999, and Jerry Sandusky had announced his retirement before the start of the season. It was unexpected: the guy who'd spent three decades on the sidelines with legendary coach Joe Paterno wasn't even going to another team. Just 55 at the time, Sandusky had long been expected to replace Joe Pa.
But he was simply quitting.
Sandusky's career was deviating from the widely accepted script. And now, it appears, the Hollywood ending may have been just that -- fiction. And possibly a façade that covered dark, sordid secrets.
When the players carried Sandusky off that field in San Antonio, triumphant, they weren't just celebrating the coach known around State College as the "Dean of Linebacker U." They were honoring a man recognized for his generosity and concern for children in need.

My grandaughters age 4 & 5 have wide feet. There are'nt to many sneaker manufacturers that make girls wide sneakers, especially in all white. We've probably bought them all and are ready for something different. .
