76ers' Sunday Morning Shootaround: The Sneaker Edition
Music, like any other art form, is largely subjective: What sounds good to one person doesn't necessarily resonate with another.
Of course, that doesn't stop a large segment of the population from taking shots at people who don't appreciate the same music that they do. Let's be clear: Not liking Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" doesn't mean that someone has an "average mind", and enjoying it doesn't make one a Jay-Z "stan", either.
Personally, I like the album. I don't love it as much as some do, and if someone told me that they flat-out hated it, I can understand why.
Is it disappointing in some ways? Yes. But there are still a few tracks that go hard in the paint. And every time "Tom Ford" comes on, I play the song at a ridiculous volume while imagining myself spraying champagne all over the V.I.P. area of some fictitious club.
(In case you were wondering, the champagne in question would be Andre - I couldn't justify the expense of wasting Veuve Clicquot in such a manner, especially with bottle service being as expensive as it is).
